UK charity Enable Ethiopia is organising a trek across Ethiopia’s Simien Mountains to raise money for infrastructure facilities in one of the poorest areas in Africa.

UK charity Enable Ethiopia is organising a trek across Ethiopia’s Simien Mountains to raise money for vital infrastructure facilities in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, one of the poorest areas in Africa.
The trek, which will take place in October, is the first by the charity since it was established in 2006. Participants will leave the UK on the 7th October, and travel via the capital Addis Ababa to Debark where the trek will begin in the Simien Mountain National Park. The 10 day trip will include visits to the spectacular Geech Abyss and the Jin Bahir Falls, and include hiking in the world’s only known habitat of the endangered Walia Ibex.
