Groundbreaking green bond funds raise £400 million to help tackle climate change
Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) has celebrated the first year anniversary of its groundbreaking World Bank green bond funds that have raised almost £400 million from institutional investors in Europe and the Middle East as well as Japanese investors. A number of the projects selected by World Bank’s environmental specialists, benefit from the success of these funds. These projects include alternative energy generation in rural areas of China; methane capture and biogas technologies; new energy efficient technologies for public buildings in Montenegro; renewable energy systems in Argentina, and reforestation and sustainable forest management in Mexico.
