Oscar Huettner speaks to Global Investor/isf about his experiences building BondLend, the newly created fixed-income securities finance platform

Oscar Huettner was appointed global product manager and director of BondLend in March 2011. Oscar has over 25 years of experience in the US, European, and Asian financing markets. He has built financing operations in both London, Mizuho’s and Barclays Capital’s European fixed income desks, and New York, Barclays Capital’s RMBS desk.During his time in London, he served as a member of the European Repo Council from its inception in 1992 until he relocated to New York in 2004.Prior to his 13 years in London, he worked at Salomon Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette in New York. “We expect our business to grow in-line with this renewed industry expansion and the overall market is now much more robust than in 2008,” he says.
