Euroclear is planning several changes to its senior management to be made in early 2012. The changes involve four promotions and are still subject to regulatory approval.
John Trundle will move from his role as chief risk officer of the Euroclear Group to become chief executive officer (CEO) of Euroclear UK & Ireland, based in London.
Luc Vantomme, who is managing director and head of Euroclear Bank’s banaking and network management division, will take over Trundle’s position as chief risk officer. Other senior Euroclear Bank executives will take on management responsibility for the division.
Anso Thire, CEO of Euroclear Finland and Euroclear Sweden, will become managing director and head of business development for the group. He will be replaced by Yannic Weber who is currently currently CEO of Euroclear UK & Ireland. Weber will be based in Stockholm and will continue to serve as CEO of Xtrakter.
Tim Howell, CEO of Euroclear SA/NV, said the changes will contribute to the growth of Euroclear and its relevance to the markets:
“Their new positions will benefit from the experience they have acquired in their current and previous positions, contributing in new ways to the growth and continued relevance of Euroclear to the European and global capital markets.”
