Given the fast changing regulatory environment, we’ve been busy working with clients directly on what these regulations mean to them and the service they provide to their clients. So, in addition to worrying about how these changes impact BBH, we’re also spending a lot of time helping our clients deal with them.
We’ve made striking progress with FATCA, in particular, where we’ve developed automation to support our clients that service non-resident US clients. What really keeps me up at night is the potential for new product development paralysis at our clients due to regulatory uncertainty.
Given our market positioning as the specialist servicing alternative, our business would really slow down if new product development grinds to a halt. At Investor Services, we don’t expect such paralysis, but instead believe this regulatory reform will...
