Regulations facing the securities lending industry will mostly be felt on the demand side, but will also affect pricing and liquidity, according to Josh Galper, managing principal of Finadium.
Galper’s comments come in response to the regulatory discussions held at the IMN Beneficial Owners’ Securities Lending Conference in Phoenix earlier this week.
Panels covered issues such as Dodd Frank’s counterparty exposure limits, the Volker Rule, transparency and the Orderly Liquidation Authority.
