The Global Investor/ISF Master Class securities finance conference in Sydney is now just a week away.

Book your complimentary place for the May 3 event now and hear Super fund managers such as Kyle Ringrose, head of investment operations, QSuper talk about why they choose – or choose not – to lend their assets.

New opportunities are now appearing in Australian securities finance, following years of subdued activity. Beneficial owners including Super funds are increasingly lending assets in markets outside Australia, where fees can be more attractive. In addition, Australian fixed income lending is set for a major boost due to demand for high yielding and highly rated Commonwealth and state government bonds.

Also, a keynote address on the different academic arguments around short selling will be given by Professor Michael McKenzie, chair of discipline of finance, University of Sydney Business School.

The Global Investor/ISF Master Class on 3 May 2012 at the Hilton Hotel Sydney, Australia will host discussions on these issues and more. Regulators, market participants and Super funds will hold a series of seminars with plenty of opportunity for audience interaction. Attendance is free. Registration starts from 8am and the event finishes at 2.15pm.
