Carl Lang has joined Albert Fried & Company (AF&Co) as chief technology officer

He will oversee the firm’s new technology infrastructure which includes the new Prime Lending Services Division’s securities lending and prime services build-out.
He will help the firm’s effort to sell securities lending and prime services to hedge funds.
Lang was formerly director of BNP Paribas Prime Brokerage where he worked for 14 years and headed up technology for securities lending. Before that he built out Bank of America’s global securities lending platform.
AF&Co Prime Lending aims to offer securities lending market transparency to hedge fund clients, supplying market access to hard-to-borrow securities.
