Hans Stoter replaces Mark Weber who returns to the firm’s US office

ING Investment Management has promoted Hans Stoter to chief investment officer (CIO) and member of the International Management Committee.
He replaces Mark Weber who has returned to the firm’s US office to resume his responsibilities as executive vice president of structured assets, loans and alternatives.
Stoter moves from his position as deputy CIO and will now become chair of the Global Investment Leadership Team. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Stoter has been at ING IM since 1998 and has 22 years of experience.
Dowling will succeed Hans in his former role as head of credit investments and lead portfolio manager global high yield. Currently team leader and lead portfolio manager US high yield, Dowling is an industry veteran with 27 years of credit and high yield investment experience, including five years with ING Investment Management.
He will remain in New York, from where he will lead the multi-site global credit team and have continued responsibility for the investment process for the US region. He will report directly to Hans.
