Report looks at the potential impact of Asian growth on future Ucits regulation
RBC Investor Services
RBC Investor Services has issued a report examining the role of Ucits funds in the current asset management environment and looking at likely future developments.
With the Ucits directive approaching 25 years old this year, the report looks at cross-border distribution trends and provides an overview of the major Ucits markets.
RBC Investor Services said: “The Ucits directive celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, which has special significance for us, because we acted as service provider for the first Ucits fund registered in Luxembourg in April 1988.”
The report examines the potential impact Asian growth may have on future Ucits regulation, as well as the growth of Ucits in Central and South America.
The report notes that Ucits funds are seen by global investors as “the gold-standard regulated fund vehicle”, particularly in periods of economic volatility.
