Marcus Palmer joins Hermes Real Estate

Hired as head of real estate debt

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management (HREIML) has appointed Marcus Palmer as head of real estate debt, with responsibility for managing the firm’s real estate debt programme. Palmer will be based in London and report into Ben Sanderson, director of international investment at Hermes.
“Marcus’ extensive industry expertise, global experience and deep understanding of the UK and international real estate markets will provide direct support to the delivery of our real estate debt programme. Prior to joining HREIML, Palmer was a partner at Chalkhill Partners, where he was responsible for the build out and development of the firm’s real estate platform, focusing on UK and northern European real estate borrower clients. Palmer has previously held senior management roles with Anglo Irish Bank – NAMA, RBS and Barclays Capital.
