BNY Mellon Investment Management (BNY Mellon IM) has appointed Adrian Gordon as head of institutional distribution Emea.

Gordon joins the asset manager from Australian investment and trustee firm Perpetual Limited, where he was European head, responsible for leading the firm's growth outside of its core Asian market.

Gordon has also held senior positions at investment consultants Mercer, Barclays Global Investors and OppenheimerFunds.

Peter Pardi, global head of distribution at BNY Mellon IM, said: “With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Adrian brings to the team a wealth of experience and expertise that will be of tremendous benefit to the business.”

Gordon replaces outgoing head of institutional distribution Emea, Jonathan Lubran, who is to retire at the end of the year after a decade at BNY Mellon. However he will continue to serve as a director on a number of boards at both a fund and management company level.

Over the next five months Gordon will work closely with Jonathan Lubran to ensure a smooth transition.
