Experienced Hungarian trader to lead country efforts
Gyorgy Cselenyi has been appointed head of BNP Paribas Securities Services (BNP Paribas) in Hungary.
With two decades of financial experience in the Hungarian market, Cselenyi has moved from BNP Paribas Hungary's corporate and investment bank, where he was head of interest rate trading.
Cselenyi's background has mostly been spent in fixed income. Prior to joining BNP Paribas in 2004 he was head of international settlements at the Hungarian Government-Debt Management Agency and has worked in trading roles at the Hungarian Foreign Trade Bank.
Cselenyi will report to Gerald Noltsch, the custodian bank's regional manager for Germany, Northern Europe, CEE and CIS.
Noltsch said: “We’re pleased to appoint Gyorgy to lead our business in Hungary. His outstanding experience and knowledge of the local banking market, together with his strong existing knowledge of the BNP Paribas group, makes him the ideal candidate to take our business forward in Hungary.”
During his career with BNP Paribas, Cselenyi been a key member of the bank's Eastern European team, helping to expand BNP Paribas’ trading activities across Hungary, Romania and Croatia.
Cselenyi also played a key part in BNP Paribas joining the Hungarian Primary Dealership system in 2010 milestone.
