Hires UBS’s Corrado to new CIO role
MSCI has hired Chris Corrado to the newly-created position of chief information officer as part of the firm’s plans to expand its senior leadership team.
MSCI chairman and CEO Henry Fernandez said the new role signifies an “important step in the evolution” of the firm.
Corrado joins from UBS where he was managing director and head of platform services, overseeing technical infrastructure, global production services, application platform services and IT services.
In his new role Corrado reports to Fernandez from New York and is also a managing director and member of the executive committee. He will focus on ensuring MSCI continues to offer clients products that help them to achieve their goals.
Corrado began his career at IBM in 1981 before moving to Morgan Stanley for 11 years. He then held chief technology officer roles at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. He has also held similar positions at Asurion and eBay.
