Global investments company looks to consolidate position in key market
BNY Mellon has appointed Lars Hella as head of depotbank services in Germany. Based in Frankfurt, he will report to Laura Ahto, COO of investment services, Germany.
Hella joined BNY Mellon’s German branch in July 2014 and moves into his new role from the global securities operations area. He has extensive industry experience of depotbanking (in both Germany and Luxembourg), global custody, capital management companies, fund accounting and fund administration having previously held positions with the German consulting firm itechx, Caceis and State Street.

BNY Mellon in Germany has depotbank volumes of 133.5bn euros and asset under custody and/or administration of 607.3bn euros.
