Jupiter to grow global institutional business
Jupiter has hired Martin Harris to head up its institutional business as the firm looks to a global strategy.
Joining from Kames Capital, Harris will enhance Jupiter’s institutional business strategy on a global basis.
Simon Hynes, global head of distribution at Jupiter, said: “Historically our institutional distribution efforts have been focused on the UK but, as with mutual funds, our ambitions are global. We are delighted that someone of Martin’s calibre has joined Jupiter to drive these efforts.”
Harris said there are “significant opportunities” for Jupiter to grow the institutional business internationally.
Harris worked a Kames Capital for five years as head of distribution which involved having responsibility for all aspects of raising capital and investor relations.
Prior to that, he was global head of investor relations and capital raising at CQS London. He also worked for four years as managing director of Fidelity’s UK institutional business.
