A tricky start to 2014 has done nothing to dissuade RBC Global Asset Management (UK) CIO Dominic Wallington from his favourable view of European equities, finds Paul Golden
Dominic Wallington, senior portfolio manager and chief
investment officer (CIO) at RBC Global Asset Management UK
since 2007, has certainly worked through some challenging
times in his chosen area of European equities, but he
maintains his faith in the sector.
His confidence is borne out of a longstanding attachment to
the region, which has seen many ups and downs. Before joining
RBC Global he worked for Invesco Perpetual, running several
continental European equity funds for individual investors
and institutions, including absolute return funds.
He has worked in the investment industry since 1991 and has
been a portfolio manager since 1993.
Wallington’s mandate on joining RBC was to run
the office and manage the European portfolio.
He built on the experience he gained during the 1990s, when
he worked for Credit Suisse Asset Management.
