It is understood that he left the consultancy firm towards the end of May.

Catt specialised in complex post-trade analysis and process management, focusing on custody, securities lending and derivatives.
He also advised institutional investors on their preparations for new regulatory requirements for derivatives.

A spokesperson for Mercer said that Catt’s responsibilities would be allocated across the existing team.

Catt has regularly spoken at industry events.

Before Mercer he was a consultant at Thomas Murray, according to his LinkedIn profile that states he had primary responsibility for monitoring the financial state of the custody banks with which the firm interacted.
