Julie Patterson to leave IMA

Leaving for new role at KPMG
Julie Patterson, regulatory affairs director for investment
funds and retail, will leave the Investment Management
Association (IMA) at the end of August.
She will take up a new role as a director at KPMG's European
financial services regulatory centre of excellence covering the
investment management sector.
"Julie's knowledge and experience are unique and her
contribution to the promotion and development of asset
management in the UK cannot be underestimated. We wish her all
the best in her new role," said Daniel Godfrey, CEO of the
Patterson has worked at the IMA for over 15 years, shaping
legislation and regulation affecting the investment management
industry, especially in relation to the increasing volume of
rules emanating from the EU.
This has included the introduction of five sets of Ucits
rules and the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive
(AIFMD), driving major reform of the UK fund tax regime and the
introduction of new fund structures, as well as initiating
robust processes and practices for funds.
