Stanhope Capital has hired Christophe Karpiel as head of investment management in its Geneva office, effective July 1.

He will report to Nicole Curti, partner and managing director of Stanhope Capital Switzerland.

“We have ambitious plans in terms of both recruitment and expansion in Switzerland, and a key component of our philosophy is to be uncompromising in our search for talented investment professionals such as Karpiel,” said Curti.

Karpiel has over 20 years of experience with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, having worked as deputy head of UHNW portfolio management at BNP Paribas Asset Management in Paris from 2005 to 2014.

Previously he was senior portfolio manager and head of fund picking at IXIS Asset Management in Paris from 1998 until 2005.
