HSBC SS hires new head of product strategy
HSBC Securities Services has hired Elaine Liu to a new head of product strategy position created to expand business in China.
Based in Hong Kong Liu will be responsible for creating and developing HSBC Securities Services China products, working closely with regulatory bodies in and outside of China.
"China presents huge opportunities for investors as the country continues to liberalise its capital market, witnessed by the development of its investment schemes for offshore investors,” said global head of fund services Ian Stephenson.
“HSBC Securities Services has been actively supporting its clients to capture these opportunities and this appointment is a further demonstration of our commitment to supporting its clients' strategies as they relate to growth opportunities both inside and outside of China.”
Liu was previously head of client relationship and China business development at State Street Global Services in Hong Kong and before this she held roles at BNY Mellon.
