Pictet Asset Management has recruited three portfolio managers in a major strategic move to strengthen its international multi-asset capability.

Percival Stanion, Andrew Cole and Shaniel Ramjee will join Pictet Asset Management in the coming months and will be based at the Moor House offices in London.

"We are delighted to be able to attract a person of Stanion’s calibre," said Renaud de Planta, managing partner of the Pictet Group and CEO of Pictet Asset Management, “and this hire demonstrates our determination to expand our existing multi-asset strategies for clients both in the UK and elsewhere."

Stanion, Cole and Ramjee had been working at Baring Asset Management for 13, 28 and seven years respectively.

Stanion will be named vice chairman of Pictet Asset Management and will join as head of multi-asset strategies (excluding Switzerland) reporting to Olivier Ginguené, head of asset allocation and quantitative investments.

As co-chairman of the Pictet Asset Management Strategy Unit with Olivier Ginguené, Percival will work closely with Luca Paolini, Pam chief strategist in the core group of the 16-person unit.

Pictet Asset Management intends shortly to launch a multi-asset strategy, known as a diversified growth fund with plans to launch similar products for other markets at a later stage.
