Stanhope Capital has created a real estate advisory board in its latest step to provide a full range of wealth management services across asset classes.

The board will be led by Stanhope's cheif investment officer, Jonathan Bell. The firm has also appointed Bruce Bossom, co-founding partner of Orion Capital Managers, and William Hill, the former head of property at Schroders, to this board.

“The real estate sector is a key asset class and although it has generally recovered well since the depths of the financial crisis there are still areas and managers that have the potential to create value for our clients," said Daniel Pinto, co-founder and CEO of Stanhope.

"Both  are highly experienced in real estate investment, and have solid track records in terms of delivering meaningful strategic advice and investment outcomes. We believe they will bring a valuable perspective to our business as we continue to expand our international reach.”

The firm said it felt that it was important to create a dedicated team of experts, both internal and external, to provide the relevant investment expertise and research to enable clients to benefit from this asset class.

Bossom is one of the founding partners of Orion Capital Managers and serves as managing director. He focuses primarily on directing investment and asset management activities in the UK and asset management activities in Europe including Germany, Italy and Spain.

Hill was formerly head of property at Schroders which he joined in 1989. He stepped down as head of property at Schroders at the end of October 2013. A past chairman of the Association of Real Estate Funds, Hill is a non-executive director of Mayfair Capital, an advisor to Ashby Capital and the Goldsmiths Company. He plays an active role in industry thought leadership as a columnist for Property Week and with the various trade bodies.
