Global hedge fund industry association the Alternative Investment Management Association (Aima) has expanded its global governing body with the addition of two new directors to the Aima council.

The new directors are Martin Pabari, chief operating officer of global multi-strategy asset management firm CQS (UK) and Fiona Carpenter, a partner at EY. They join the 13 other members of the council, which is comprised of members from Aima’s three regions - Asia Pacific, Emea and the Americas - and includes senior practitioners at hedge fund manager firms and service providers.

Aima chairman, Kathy Casey (a former SEC Commissioner) is currently a senior advisor with Patomak Global Partners and a non-executive board director of HSBC Holdings.

“We are fortunate to add two such experienced and well-qualified directors to our council and I would like to personally thank Martin and Fiona for volunteering their time to serve on the board,” she said.

Jack Inglis, Aima CEO added, “Martin and Fiona’s commitment and contribution to Aima over a number of years is greatly appreciated and their appointments to the council underscore the strength of Aima’s network and its leadership of the industry.”
