He will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and growing Mercer’s fiduciary management in the UK.

Gunnee will report to Michael Dempsey, European head of fiduciary management. Mercer currently has 228 clients with £24.3bn ($38.2bn) assets under management across the European market.

Dempsey said, “Ben is well known to the UK investments business and we are confident that, with his experience and energy, he will prove to be an excellent appointment as we continue to see strong demand for our support and services from the UK market.”

“My role will be to ensure, building on Mercer’s breadth of intellectual capital, that we continue to provide market leading, innovative solutions and the highest level of client service,” added Gunnee.
