Jonathan Lombardo has left Pirum and is set to join Eurex Clearing, Global Investor/ISF can confirm.

In February, Lombardo will be joining Eurex Clearing’s clearing sales and relations team in London. His new team is part of the clients & markets division run by Matthias Graulich, chief client officer and member of the executive board of Eurex Clearing AG.

Lombardo was head of global sales at Pirum for three years. During that time Lombardo and his team developed several successful partnerships: Tri-party RQV Automation solution with JPMorgan and BNY Mellon; CCP Gateway solution with Eurex Clearing; and a partnership with SunGard to allow shared clients to deliver their data sets to Astec Analytics via Pirum, among others.

Gerard Denham, senior vice president, clearing sales & relations, said: ''Jonathan has vast expertise of the securities lending industry. Based on his previous role, he closely knows Eurex Clearing's Lending CCP and its partnership with Pirum and will be thus invaluable for our clients.

“His depth of knowledge across the industry is a perfect match for Eurex Clearing’s innovative services that deliver a cost-efficient, fully-integrated, STP clearing solution across derivatives, repo, GC Pooling, securities lending and collateral management.”

Before joining Pirum, Lombardo was with securities lending multilateral trading facility SecFinex, which closed in November 2011. Before that he was with Citi and was also a former board member of the International Securities Lending Association (Isla).
