SS&C hedge funds' performance dips
The gross return of the SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index for December recorded a performance of 0.11%.
This is down from 1.13% in November.
“In line with year-end portfolio rebalancing, January net capital flows were negative, with higher capital activity overall,” said Bill Stone, chairman and CEO, SS&C Technologies.
Hedge fund flows as measured by the Capital Movement Index saw net flows so far in January decline 2.95%.
SS&C GlobeOp’s data on the GlobeOp platform represents approximately 10% of the hedge fund industry.
The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index is an asset-weighted, independent monthly window on hedge fund performance.
On the ninth business day of each month it provides a flash estimate of the gross aggregate performance of funds for which SS&C GlobeOp provides monthly administration services on the GlobeOp platform.
