Unigestion has appointed Ken Harvie as head of consultant relations within its institutional clients team and Rudyard Ekindi as head of investment solutions within its equity team. 

He will be responsible for strengthening relations across the global consultancy community. He joined in December 2014 and is based in London, reporting to Tom Leavitt, managing director and head of institutional clients. 

Harvie joins Unigestion from Ignis Asset Management, and brings over 30 years’ experience in the pensions industry. In his role as client and consultant relations director at Ignis Harvie played a key role in establishing its institutional business and achieving significant asset growth.

Ekindi also joined in December 2014 and is based in Geneva, reporting to Alexei Jourovski, managing director and head of Equity. 

He will be tasked with ensuring a full understanding of the investment needs of Unigestion’s client base and developing the asset manager’s product solutions in line with and tailored to these specific requirements.

From 2009 to 2013, Ekindi was director of investment research at NEST (National Employment Savings Trust) where he organised the investment team and designed the pension scheme’s investment strategy. Before this, Ekindi was head of asset allocation at Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he focused on cross asset solutions for institutional clients, eventually becoming director of research within the company’s quantitative strategies group.
