RBC Investor & Treasury Services has appointed Andrea Cecchini as managing director in Italy. Cecchini will report to Sébastien Danloy, head of continental Europe and offshore.

His responsibilities include business development, managing regulatory relationships and overall management of RBC Investor and Treasury Services’ in Italy.

“Our team in Milan is a key part of our European strategy and will enable us to further strengthen our onshore/offshore fund administration and cross border distribution services. Andrea’s substantial experience will ensure the relationship between our hub in Luxembourg and our local expansion is supported as we strive to deliver harmonised fund services to multiple European locations,” said Sebastien Danloy.

Andrea Cecchini joins RBC Investor & Treasury Services with over 20 years’ experience in financial services, most recently as head of financial markets at Cariparma.

Before this, Andrea held a number of senior roles with Italian and foreign banks and asset managers including Unicredit, Calyon, Eurizon Capital and Crédit Agricole.

The appointment comes as RBC Investor & Treasury Services strengthens fund administration and distribution links between their Luxembourg activities and other European jurisdictions, particularly for Ucits funds. Last year Italy registered some of the strongest inflows in Europe into Ucits funds in the third quarter.
