The investment arm of Railways Pension Scheme, RMPI Railpen, has chosen BNP Paribas Securities Services' subsidiary to manage its dealing activities.

The appointment follows RPMI Railpen's decision to bring some of its investment activities in house. BNP Paribas Dealing Services, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Securities Services, was their chosen dealing desk solution for market transactions executions.

“Our decision to select dealing services was driven by their team’s expertise across asset classes and their robust technology platform, which will help us develop our new investment process in the long run. We also valued their distinctive broker-neutral positioning and long track record with a wide range of clients," said Rachit Sharma, senior investment manager at RPMI Railpen.

“We are proud to have been selected as RPMI Railpen’s dealing desk and look forward to accompanying them in their new business strategy. Our solution will help them optimise their access to liquidity and benefit from the latest dealing technology,” said Philippe Boulenguiez, head of dealing services at BNP Paribas Securities Services.

RPMI Railpen manages the assets of the Railways Pension Scheme on behalf of its parent company, the Railways Pension Trustee Company.
