Deutsche Börse market data and services has taken over the hosting of the Irish Stock Exchange’s new trading surveillance system.

The hardware will be held by Deutsche Börse on its premises in Frankfurt and the firm will also provide support services to the Irish Stock Exchange. The surveillance system further enhances the electronic market surveillance capabilities of the Dublin-based exchange.

Brian Healy, director traded markets, development, operations of the Irish Stock Exchange, said: “We have an absolute commitment to providing our markets with the best infrastructure. Key to this for our equity market has been the technology partnership with Deutsche Börse.

"I am delighted to see the further development of that partnership with the implementation of our new Scila Surveillance system, in conjunction with Scila AB and Deutsche Börse.”

The Irish Stock Exchange has used Deutsche Börse’s Xetra trading platform since June 2000.

“We are pleased to expand our long standing and successful business relationship with the Irish Stock Exchange”, says Holger Wohlenberg, managing director of Deutsche Börse market data and services. “Our experience in providing regulator compliant operations combined with high system availability and a very responsive support service make our hosting a very secure and reliable choice to help the Irish Stock Exchange meet increased requirements of trading surveillance for the Irish equity market.”
