Morgan Lewis has hired Gawain Hughes as an investment partner in its London office.

Hughes joins from DLA Piper where he led the London funds practice. He advises on all aspects of fund formation, investment and regulation in the UK and internationally with a particular focus on private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds. 

Hughes has also been at the forefront of regulatory developments in the funds sector and is the only private practice lawyer to be asked to contribute written and oral submissions to the House of Lords European Union Committee looking at the impact of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM) directive.
