The asset management arm of Manulife has named a former State Street executive as its new head of Latin American sales.

Diana Stockwell, previously a vice president at State Street Global Advisors, will take up the role and report to Frank Saeli, head of distribution, US & Latin America.

The hire follows Manulife Asset Management’s appoint of Claude Chene last year as its London-based global head of distribution.

"We are confident Diana's extensive experience building relationships across Latin America will help us accelerate our growth plans and better serve our customers wherever they are based," said Saeli.

The firm had $301bn in assets under management at the end of 2015 invested across equity, fixed income and private ventures.
