AXA IM appoints emerging markets fixed income head
AXA Investment Managers has appointed Michael Ganske as head of emerging markets for its fixed income team.
Ganske joins the firm from Rogge Global Partners, where he was a partner and also the head of emerging markets.
He has more than 15 years’ experience in emerging markets fixed income, and spent six years as a managing director and divisional head of emerging markets research at Commerzbank before joining Rogge.
London-based Ganske will lead a team of 10 based in London, Paris and Hong Kong which oversees more than $5.6bn in emerging markets and Asian debt across three flagship mutual funds and several segregated institutional mandates.
His appointment comes after AXA’s decision in June to create a global emerging markets fixed income team to capitalise on the attractiveness of emerging market debt as an asset class.
