New Lead manager for Jupiter Japan Fund
Jupiter Fund Management has appointed Dan Carter as the lead manager on its Jupiter Japan Income Fund with immediate effect.
Carter, who is currently the fund’s deputy manager, will take over Simon Somerville as he leaves Jupiter after eleven years at the firm.
Alongside his role as deputy manager of the Japan Income Fund, Carter has also led the Jupiter Japan Select Sicav Fund as its lead manager since 2013.
According to the firm, there will be no change to the management philosophy of the fund, with Carter seeking long-term positions in cash-generative, income-paying Japanese companies which are underappreciated by the market.
Carter joined Jupiter in 2008 as an analyst on the Far Eastern Equities team after leaving his role as a fund manager for Odey Asset Management’s Japanese equities team.
