Katrina Sartorius will take charge of post trade specialist Euroclear’s order routing, management, settlement and asset servicing solution FundsPlace.

Previously head of product management for Euroclear’s UK CSD, Sartorius has been named global head of the platform which connects investors, transfer agents and custodians.  

She will report to Stephan Pouyat, global head of capital markets and funds services.

At Euroclear's UK CSD Sartorius worked on the development of new collateral products; central bank money liquidity services and an order routing through to settlement service for UK-domiciled investment funds.

The move comes amid growth for Euroclear's fund strategy, with 12% growth in fund assets under custody to date.

The value of funds serviced by FundSettle, powered by FundsPlace, which processes all of Euroclear's offshore and domestic fund transactions, increased 17% over prior year, and the volume of fund transactions processed by Euroclear grew 9% to reach 22 million.

Euroclear has also started to expand its funds business network outside of Europe, opening an account with the central money markets unit of Hong Kong’s CSD, to provide Euroclear Bank clients with access to China-domiciled funds, as well as Hong Kong-domiciled funds.
