BNP Paribas IP makes EM fixed income hire
BNP Paribas Investment Partners has appointed Jean-Charles ‘JC’ Sambor as deputy head of emerging market fixed income.
Sambor, who joins from the Institute of International Finance (IIF), will switch from Singapore to London and reports to Bryan Carter.
The new hire has also worked at Everest Capital as head of global emerging and frontier fixed income.
He will work in a division made up of nine investment professionals managing $1.2bn across mutual funds and segregated client accounts.
“We are very pleased to welcome JC Sambor to the BNP Paribas Investment Partners emerging markets fixed income team,” said Carter.
“Investors increasingly view the asset class as attractive again and JC’s considerable experience gained within a range of organisations will enable us to further broaden our research capability and differentiate our investment offering.”
