BNP Paribas Securities Services joins PRI initiative
BNP Paribas Securities Services has signed up to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) scheme, the world’s leading network for responsible investment.
The UN-backed set of voluntary principles act as a menu of possible actions for incorporating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues into investment practices across asset classes.
Patrick Colle, general manager of BNP Paribas Securities Services, said: “We are proud to have become a signatory to the PRI. This reflects our long-standing commitment to responsible investing.
"As a global custodian, we have an important role to play in helping our clients adopt and integrate ESG policies and demonstrate the value these can bring to an organisation.
"By
signing the PRI, we are committing to continuing to develop solutions promoting
responsible investing and to having a constructive dialogue with our clients on
these issues.”
In June, BNP
Paribas Securities Services launched ESG Risk Analytics, a tool designed to enable asset owners and asset managers to integrate ESG
factors more easily into their investment decision-making process.
The platform provides a detailed breakdown of how well clients’ investments
and benchmarks rate against an extensive range of ESG factors.
