AXA Investment Managers has hired Franz Wenzel to its institutional solutions strategy team as a strategist within the multi asset client solutions (MACS) platform. 

He will be responsible for the development of dedicated multi-asset solutions for institutional clients in Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) and report to Mathilde Sauvé, head of institutional solutions.

Wenzel was previously chief strategist in the research and investment team having joined AXA IM in 1997 as a European economist.

“Franz’s deep understanding of markets, combined with his experience of working with highly sophisticated clients makes him a natural choice for this position,"  Sauvé said.

Laurence Boone, head of research and investment strategy at AXA IM  added: “Franz has been instrumental in establishing the research & investment strategy team as a valued partner to the investment, sales teams and also to clients globally."
