The David Setters Trophy takes place for the third year running next week, bringing together the industry’s cricketers to raise awareness and funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

The third annual cricket tournament will take place on July 23 at the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) cricket pitch in London.

The tournament will feature six teams from across the industry for a full day of competitive matches kicking off at 10.00 and ending with a grand final at 17.30.

Teams from Interxion, the London Metal Exchange, INTL FCStone, KRM22, Euronext and Intertrader will compete for the Trophy named in honour of David Setters, a veteran of the futures industry and former managing director of FOW.

David was diagnosed with MND six years ago and has worked tirelessly since then to raise awareness about MND and raise funds to find a cure.

He established City Against MND, and works closely with the MND Association while facing his own challenges with MND.

David is also a founder trustee of industry charity Futures for Kids (FFK), and completed last month’s fun run somewhat uniquely as fellow founder trustee Patrick Thornton-Smith pushed him round the course.

The David Setters Trophy was the brainchild of Nick Spencer Skeen and Keith Todd.

Sponsors of the Trophy this year include the teams that are participating along with Ethypharm and Genesis.

Spectators are invited to pop in and out throughout the day where there will be a cash bar open all day and bbq at 12.00-14.00.

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the day and auction items will be up for grabs for bidders on or before the day.
