Deutsche AWM hires structured solutions head
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has rehired Munish Varma to a newly-created position in its loans and deposits group as head of structured solutions.
A managing director, Varma is based in London and reports to Balaji Prasanna, head of lending, deposit products and wealth planning solutions.
With his team, Varma is responsible for delivering customised financing solutions across the capital structure for Deutsche AWM’s clients globally, including strategic lending solutions. He is also tasked with developing new products.
Varma was most recently global head of structured credit at Nomura. Before that, he spent more than a decade in Deutsche Bank's global markets division in various roles.
Balaji Prasanna, Head of Lending, Deposit Products & Wealth Planning Solutions, said: "Lending is a key part of the service we offer clients. We will continue to develop new products and solutions to help them access liquidity and take immediate advantage of opportunities whenever they arise."
