BNP Paribas SS hires head of Australia and NZ
BNP Paribas Securities Services has hired David Braga as head of Australia and New Zealand. He will start his role in mid-May.
Braga was previously head of product for custody and fund services at JPMorgan Chase & Co Australia and New Zealand.Before this he was head of technology at BT Portfolio Services, at BT FUnds Management.
He is chairman of the Australian Custodial Service Association and a sponsor of its regulatory and compliance working group. Also, Braga is a member of the Australian Institute of company directors.
"David bring with him in-depth knowledge, expertise and experience of the local market. His appointment will enable us to pursue our strategy of providing world-class solutions tailored to local market requirements during a period of increasing regulatory infrastructure change," said José Placido, global head of client development at BNP Paribas Securities Services.
Ian Perkins, the current acting head of Australia and New Zealand, will remain as head of client development.
