BNP Paribas Securities Services has made three appointments to the leadership team in the Netherlands.

Robert van Kerkhoff has been appointed head of the Netherlands and will relocate to Amsterdam. Ronald Koelewijn has been appointed head of sales in the Netherlands and Erwin Reyes has been appointed to the newly-created position of secretary general in the Netherlands.

“We have successfully expanded our pension funds offering in the Netherlands in recent years. We are seeing strong demand to help investors in light of regulatory changes, the AIFM directive being one of them,” said Gerald Noltsch, head of Germany, Northern Europe, CEE & CIS at BNP Paribas Securities Services.

“Van Kerkhoff has played an important role in the development of our global offering in our asset and fund services product line. Koelewijn and Reyes have an in-depth understanding of our clients' needs in the Netherlands and the local regulatory environment. These new appointments position us well for future growth in the country.”

Van Kerkhoff was previously deputy head of operations for asset and fund services, based in Paris, and has previously worked for Fortis Bank as chief operating officer of their Spanish business in Madrid.

Koelewijn will be responsible for business development across all client segments in the country. He was previously global client development manager for banks and brokers for the Netherlands and the Nordics.

Erwin Reyes will be responsible for internal organisation and projects. He was previously head of the Netherlands at BNP Paribas Securities Services.

“We have developed a strong business in the Netherlands with a focus on the country's unique pension fund market,” said Robert van Kerkhoff, BNP Paribas Securities Services' new head of the Netherlands. “I’m delighted to be leading this team and continue building on our strong franchise in this competitive market."
