UniCredit names new global securities services head
UniCredit has appointed Susanna Scheffold as head of global securities services (GSS).
Based in Vienna, she will take over responsibility for the securities services business globally at UniCredit and succeed Tomasz Grajewski on August 1.
In her new role Scheffold will report to Claudio Camozzo and Ernst Ohmayer, co-heads of global transaction banking (GTB), and will also report locally in Vienna to Angelo Rizzuti, deputy head of GTB.
“Scheffold is not only familiar with the securities services business but also with IT and therefore knows our clients' needs very well and is a perfect match to support UniCredit´s securities services business," said Camozzo and Ohmayer.
Scheffold has moved across from UniCredit business integrated solutions (UBIS) where she was head of “Securities Services 2”, which covers securities operations and IT for Germany and Austria.
Between 2010 and 2012 she held a variety of positions at the firm including head of securities operations in commercial banking, head of country operation line finance and treasury, and head of country operation line securities Austria.
The current head of GSS, Tomasz Grajewski, who has been head of GSS Poland since 2008, and gained additional responsibility as head of GSS in 2011, has decided to step down as for family reasons.
He will remain a part of the GSS executive committee and also retain his title and responsibilities as head of GSS Poland.
"We would like to thank Tomasz
