Cohen & Steers hires EMEA institutional sales head
Investment manager Cohen & Steers has hired Marc Haynes as its head of institutional sales and clients services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Based in London, Haynes will be responsible for marketing Cohen & Steers’ alternative investment strategies to pension funds, fiduciaries and other institutional investors and intermediaries.
He joins from financial advisory firm Greenwich Associates, where he served as managing director and partner, leading the firm's global investment management practice.
Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Cohen & Steers is known for its real estate investment trust (REIT) mutual funds.
The company, founded by Martin Cohen and Robert Steers in New York in 1986, was among the first to specialise in listed real estate.
It now manages around $50bn in assets, which now also include infrastructure, natural resource and commodity equities.
