SLI appoints Stirling as ESG head
Standard Life Investments has appointed Euan Stirling as head of stewardship and ESG investment, moving him from his position as senior UK equities fund manager.
Stirling, who joined SLI in 2001 from Schroder Investment Management, will relinquish his previous responsibilities, which will be divided among the existing UK equities team.
The appointment to the newly-created role reflects the growing popularity of socially responsible investment, a space in which SLI is attempting to expand.
Guy Jubb, the global head of governance and stewardship at SLI, is set to retire on 31 March 2016 with many of his responsibilities forming the mandate for Stirling’s role.
