Natixis appoints CEO for Asia Pacific CIB division
Natixis has appointed Alain Gallois as the chief executive officer of its corporate and investment banking division in the Asia Pacific region, and also as a member of its executive committee.
He replaces François Riahi, who is leaving the post to become the co-head of the same division, in charge of financing and global markets.
Hong Kong-based Gallois will take up his new role in July 2016, when he will relinquish his position as global head of fixed income. Serge Ekué, the firm’s head of global markets for the Asia Pacific, will temporarily replace Riahi until Alain Gallois assumes his new position.
Gallois joined Natexis Banques Populaires, which would later become Natixis, in 1999 from Compagnie Parisienne de Réescompte where he worked as head of bond origination.
Over the course of his time at Natixis he has filled many roles, including head of Natixis’ Primary Markets within its fixed income & commodities business, and global head of the debt platform and head of fixed income & treasury sales.
