BMO Global Asset Management has hired Phil Webster to join its European Equities team as a portfolio manager, effective immediately.

Webster joins the firm from Aberdeen Asset Management where spent more than a decade, most recently as a senior investment manager.

He will support BMO’s pan-European fund range, including the F&C European Equity Fund, F&C European Growth & Income Fund, F&C UK Mid-Cap Fund and F&C European Small Cap Fund.

BMO Global Asset Management’s European equities team oversees more than £3.5bn in assets under management through a group of 12 investment professionals.

“The European Equities team focuses on researching and investing in high quality businesses, with a strong management team at an attractive price,” said David Moss, the firm’s head of European equities.

“Phil will be an excellent addition to our team helping to identify such companies and therefore ensuring we continue to deliver on the investment needs and expectations of our clients.”
