Ex-Nomura exec Phil Morgan to join Pirum
Phil Morgan is set to join securities finance tech firm Pirum as global head of business development, Global Investor/ISF can reveal.
Morgan, who left his role as head of Nomura’s EMEA prime finance division last month, is the latest in a long line of hires by the post-trade software specialist.
He links up with former Nomura colleague and recently appointed Pirum COO Ben Challice.
“I am thrilled to be reunited with Phil, the ability to attract someone of Phil’s calibre is testament to strength of the product at Pirum and the buzz around our product evolution," Challice told Global Investor/ISF.
"It is also further evidence of high quality talent realising the impact technology solutions will have in the future shape of the industry."
James Stillwell, a former securities finance executive at Citi and State Street, is also thought to have recently joined Pirum.
Morgan Stanley’s Harold Bergson joined the firm as a technical lead over the summer.
Pirum moved into new offices in London in June and picked up the award for best post-trade service offering at Global Investor/ISF’s annual awards dinner last month in London.
